Butea Superba is a plant with aphrodisiac characteristics that is native to Thailand, India, and Vietnam. The root systems of Butea Superba, which are used in traditional Thai medicine, produce substances that enhance sexual function, alleviate sexual dysfunction, and sometimes even increase sperm production.
Butea Superba's roots are shown to comprise a diversity of flavonoids, a group of chemicals with antioxidant activities that give numerous health benefits, according to scientific studies.
Butea Superba has been shown to help treat E D across several trials. Studies on diabetic animals revealed that Butea Superba assisted with erectile effects by increasing circulation, according to a paper published in the journal Andrologia in 2012.
While little research has looked at the benefits of Butea Superba on people's health, one medical study published in the Journal of Andrology in 2003 indicates also that herbs may be useful in the treatment of E D. For 3 months, men aged 30 to 70 with the illness were given either Butea Superba extracts or a placebo. 82.4 percent of respondents in the therapy group indicated a significant enhancement in testosterone production after the research.
Medical treatment has traditionally utilised Butea Superba as an aphrodisiac. In a clinical study released in the Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism in 2012, a 35-year-old man reported to his physician that his sexual drive had improved after consuming locally manufactured Butea Superba supplements to try and cure hair loss. Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a male sex hormone generated from androgen testosterone, was found to be sufficiently high in lab tests. Low androgen levels are associated with lower libido and sexual dysfunction in men.
In animal models, Butea Superba has been investigated as a possible male fertility booster.
In a 2006 rat research, treatment with Butea Superba for eight weeks raised sperm counts by 16 percent in comparison to the control system.
Typically hormone levels peak for men at 30, and then degrade year on year. Clinical studies suggest that the extract contains natural phyto-androgens responsible for the pro-hormonal benefits.
Pregnant women should avoid Butea superba, it is recommended that you visit a physician before using it. Make sure to tell your doctor about any medications, herbs, or supplements you're taking.
